Polk CERT Membership

Membership requirements for our program are as follows:

Adults

• Must complete the entire CERT Basic Course in a classroom setting
• Must complete ICS 700, 800, 100 & 200
• Must pass a complete background check
• Complete the membership application packet
• Must have and maintain an active phone number and email account
• Must live / work in Polk County, Oregon
• Continued membership is achieved by staying current on mandatory re-certification hours and deployment responses

Teens

• Must be at least 14 years of age if parent is not a current Polk CERT member in good standing.
• Youths ages 12 – 13 are allowed if their parent is a current Polk CERT member in good standing, and the parent attends the Basic Skills Course with the teen.
• Must complete the entire CERT Basic Course in a classroom setting
• Must complete ICS 700, 800, 100 & 200
• Must pass a complete background check
• Complete the membership application packet
• Must have and maintain an active phone number and email account
• Must live / work in Polk County, Oregon
• Continued membership is achieved by staying current on mandatory re-certification hours and deployment responses
• Teens will be paired with an adult member on all training/exercises/deployments
